Reusable shopping bags and water bottles came first for me.
Then came using washcloths instead of paper towels or clorox wipes. Then came cloth wipes (even for the girls when it's pee!). I wash out most containers that food/drinks come in and reuse them and I started replacing ziploc bags with tupperware or even baby food jars!
Yep, instead of filling little baggies with snacks for the kids when we go out, I fill washed out baby food jars. I could've bought some little plastic containers but part of being green is making do. Not to mention I saved a few bucks by using stuff on hand.
My go to snacks for errands are raisins, pretzels, and nuts.

I used to use giant freezer bags for storing baked goods. I recently bought a set of glass tupperware from Costco ($30) so I can use the ONE big plastic tupperware container I have for baked goods now :)

The girls love their new water bottles.

And Payson loves reusable shopping bags. No, really he does, he's obsessed with putting things in them and then, of course, taking things out.

Sorry I don't have more pictures than that. I've been busy and my computer is still freaking out on me for being overworked.

My aim has never necessarily been to go green but I am not noticing that I already do a lot of the those things anyways. I'm pretty sure it's because I am such a penny pincher so anything that allows me to save a little money I do... it drives my husband crazy. He's completely opposite of me... and he's rather spend extra money on stuff out of convience. Less work for him. But I guess I am somehwhat green.
One thing I am anal about is recycling. Phoenix has a recycling program and I love it. I can't stand to see people throw things away that can be recycled. I even collect aluminum cans... hey that also gives me a little cash!
Good post... I like to hear your ideas. And great job on going green!
