Allan and I stayed up, though! We watched The Two Towers extended version. We missed midnight by about three minutes. And I don't think we kissed even when we did notice it was 12:03. haha! Oh life. We did tell each other Happy New Year's though and we did have an awesome night!
The next day we lounged around as a family. We planned on going to the movies together but it never happened. Our couch was way too inviting to all of us! ha
This first picture is of the cake I made New Year's Eve. It's from the back of the Hershey's dark chocolate cocoa powder container. It is SO good! Allan says it's the best cake he's ever had. It kinda tastes like those lava cakes you get at restaurants. So good!
The frosting (recipe also on back of container!) melted into the cake in the most delicious way. I just died of chocolatey happiness.
I was not exaggerating about the couch being our favorite thing New Year's Day!
One of these boys was pretending to sleep. The other wasn't.
Ember caught site of her dad and brother and wanted to join.
The kids watched Allan play nintendo games for a little while.
The kids have never seen video games so all four of them were intrigued.
Brooklyn was the cutest. She kept telling Allan she couldn't even believe how good he was at the game.
Ember sat on my head and pulled my hair to hold on. Ow
And like most other days, Brooklyn spent quite some time on the phone.
That is crazy that you guys got the original Nintendo. I have been thinking about buying one of the original Nintendo's as well the last few days. Where did you guys get it? Which games do you have? Love the pix of Allan sleeping.

Kevin, I bought the nintendo and a couple games for Allan on ebay for Christmas. I think total for the nintendo and two games it was $70. I'll show him your other comments from his trips with our girls so he can respond! :)

ReplyDeleteI don't ever call her Brook. Allan does at least half the time and everyone at school does because she told them to at the beginning of the year. I don't really like the name Brook on its own as much as I like Brooklyn. Though I'm going to have to start getting used to it because she loves it. haha
