Ariana, that is one whopper of a day with the kids. I could feel my blood pressure rising as I read along. So many outings with all three of my kids and just myself as the adult feel exactly like you were describing. I'm sorry you had such a rough time. Being a mom is hard work!! I hope they find you some answers soon for Sierra's sake and yours so you don't have to repeat that!

Have you ever tried Sittercity.com to find a sitter? I haven't used it myself as I've never even left my children with anyone other than my mom and sister as of yet, but I know one family who has used it and really likes it. I know you would probably pay more than you would a teenage girl you know, but maybe something like that could come in handy for you at times like these.

We are going through a similar situation wit our middle daughter, not the same medical problems but a long road is ahead until we know what is wrong & how we can help her. Its not fun is it? Wow mama, I wish I lived close to you and could help, because I completely understand appointments like that, I have had more then I can count and gosh, they are absolutely soul crushing at how difficult they are.

I have much sympathy for you! I recall a visit to the hospital for Natalie, to get her reflux checked out. It only consisted of a short visit with the dr. and an Upper GI, but with 3 small children, was NOT fun. I'm glad you all made it out in one piece and with a bit of your sanity left!

I have no idea how you do it! I am scared to take only ONE child to the doctor by myself...let alone all 3!! You are superwoman! Seriously! I am loving that you actually documented this entire day with pictures! That's awesome! I have no idea how you did that either!!! Sierra looks so sweet and brave!! Mia would have come UNGLUED at the mere mention of a doctor...much less NEEDLES AND XRAYS!!! That Sierra is a brave girl! :) Oh and Mia is the same way about the attention when Maggie is getting more for some reason. She hates it and is VERY jealous. Over simple things even! Anyway, I want to cry for you after reading what that visit was like! I would have lost it in the first 5 minutes! ;)

Oh yeah, about Maggie's "God's girl" my mom got them online. I think they are from a christian book site. I will ask her. You can google God's girls though and it will probably show them. I had never heard of them before! They are "modest" Barbies that have scriptures and thing with them. Mia's is a singer and Maggie's is a Princess. They have several different kinds I think. Anyway, they are so cute and the girls LOVE them! :) They have clothes and things for them just like Barbie does.

I'm just impressed that you were able to remember everything "bad" that happened and that you took pictures in the meantime. My camera is usually the first thing to go when I have days like that. I hope the outcome of all of Sierra's testing is what you want. Whether it actually to be something and that there is a solution or to know that she will out grow it. I hope today is better for you!!

Honey, I feel your pain.

Houston is the man of 10,000 questions, mr. impatient, mr wants a freaking answer to everything.
mr.every out is challenge.

He is always performing I swear and it gets so old.

And of course what could go wrong always does.

It truly blows.

With Houston's issues we have to go all the time, so ofcourse he is freaked the hell out so by the end I want to leave him there and run into traffic.

If I lived closer I would watch the kids for you so you could regain some sanity :)

It sucks not living super close to family and not really having some to just say take them for an hour please I beg you ;)

Just want to say how much I enjoy reading your blog, been following for a long time now. My middle daughter walked on her tiptoes too, like Sierra, but it never occured to me or my husband for that matter that there was anything internally wrong or that we should have it checked out. We always joked about how she was just ahead of the curve, that tiptoe-walking was the next evolutionary step. Anyways, she did this from the time she started walking at eight months and continued until about halfway thru kindegarten. One day she just quit, just like that, never did it again and is today a very active 9 year old that plays soccer and runs completely normally. I hope little Sierra gets the same outcome. My sister is a PT, that sometimes will take peds cases, so I am going to inquire with her as this has me curious.

When I go to the store with all three kids in tow I have actually wondered how the HECK you can do it with a camera.
